One advantage of being retired is to be able to do things and go to places whenever one wants.
In January, Mitch Geriminsky and I will be traveling to Fort Worth, Texas to see the new John Wayne: An American Experience exhibit in the Fort Worth Stockyards area. According to the John Wayne Facebook page, it is a permanent exhibit.
From the John Wayne official Facebook page:
John Wayne is coming to the Fort Worth Stockyards! Opening December 4th, experience the full story behind John Wayne and his journey from humble beginnings in Iowa to becoming one of the biggest stars in the world. Early Access Tickets will also be available soon!

Naturally, while in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we will also see the 6th Floor Museum (on the JFK assassination) in the former Texas School Book Depository in Dealey Plaza, Billy Bob's and, possibly, tour Southfork Ranch (used in the television show Dallas).
We are looking forward to this trip and have already booked our flight and hotel.
