Clamp-Out Weekend

Above, The Beast today is almost ready to go. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The last clamp-out I attended was in Cool Springs, Arizona a year ago last September.

The Lost Dutchman Chapter of E Clampus Vitus was supposed to have a clamp-out take place in Quartzsite, Arizona a year ago, but COVID-19 forced it to be postponed. Well, it is going to take place this weekend.

I spent part of today getting The Beast out of the GOCO Beast Barn and prepping it for the clamp-out. It will be great to get out of the confines and on the road. Since it is cold outside, the temperature inside the refrigerator was about 42°. So it won't take long for it to get to the right temperature for loading foodstuffs and beverages.

With gasoline prices up (thanks to His Fraudulency), I was lucky to have almost a half a tank of gasoline already in the tank. The price for unleaded regular at the Flying J is $2.85/gallon. With my Good Sam discount, it was lowered to $2.80/gallon.

So, there will be few, if any, blog posts for the next several days.
