Maybe A White New Year's

A little while ago (now that it's daybreak), I took a look outside and it had been raining overnight with possibly some snow showers in the mix.

It is still too warm for snow (if any fell) to accumulate on the ground. It is around 36° outside.

But in the week ahead, as we go into New Year's, it is indicated that snow is on the horizon. At least that's according to the National Weather Service.

A slight chance of rain and snow showers before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight

A chance of rain and snow showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday

A chance of rain and snow showers before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Windy, with a southwest wind 25 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
