Yesterday, I had to take a friend to Gallup for a medical check-up.
When we arrived in Gallup, we saw gasoline stations along Historic Route 66 with posted prices over $3.60/gallon. My friend said he saw $3.65.
The Flying J in Jamestown posted gasoline at $3.56/gallon. After returning to Jamestown from Gallup, I immediately headed to the Flying J to gas up the Mustang before the price goes up. Usually, Gallup has lower gas prices than does the Jamestown Flying J.
With my nickel-per-gallon Good Sam discount, my price ended up at $3.51/gallon. It is a good thing that the Mustang, even though it is a 1989, gets decent gas mileage.
If I were to fill up my motorhome (The Beast), it would cost me $193.05 at the Flying J as it has a fuel capacity of 55 gallons. We're in California gas price territory.
UPDATE (3/3/22, 1908 hrs.):
Gas prices in Gallup went up to $3.80/gallon at Speedway stations.
