Moderate to heavy mountain snow continues to impact the Southern Rockies and Four Corners region today. - National Weather Service.
Starting yesterday afternoon, another round of snow hit Jamestown, New Mexico. It continued overnight.
We are getting some occasional snow showers, but it is light.
The forecast by the National Weather Service:
Today
A 20 percent chance of showers after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday
A slight chance of snow showers before 9am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 9am and noon, then rain showers likely after noon. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tuesday Night
A chance of rain showers, mixing with snow after 9pm, then gradually ending. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a low around 29. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Wednesday
A slight chance of rain and snow showers before noon, then a chance of rain showers. Some thunder is also possible. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Since today will be around 49°, the snow (about 2") will likely be melted away by noon.
Just when we thought that the snows have stopped for the season, the past few days have proven otherwise.
