NOAA, National Weather Service Forecasts

Above, a snow scene from last February. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

So far, there has been no precipitation here. But that may be short-lived if the forecasts are correct.

I checked the NOAA website and this is what they come up with:

What is NOAA (in case you're wondering)?
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is an American scientific agency within the United States Department of Commerce that focuses on the conditions of the oceans, major waterways, and the atmosphere.
I was able to listen to NOAA's transmissions over my citizen's band radio in Los Angeles. But out here, the transmissions are spotty and I haven't been able to pick it up in Jamestown, New Mexico. They transmit out of Window Rock, Arizona for McKinley County, New Mexico. They work pretty much in tandem with the National Weather Service.
