Putting up the "Barking Spider Road" sign yesterday was an exercise in some fun humor. But I was not the first to come up with it and it was inspired by the first example below.
In Agua Dulce, California (or Acton, California, depending on the source), there is a Barking Spider Road on the books.
And, there are some businesses who have taken on the Barking Spider moniker.
In Cleveland, Ohio, there was once a Barking Spider Tavern. Unfortunately, it is no longer in business.
From Clevescene.com:
For 30 years, the Barking Spider Tavern drew scores of music lovers to a charming carriage house on the campus of Case Western Reserve University. Opened in 1986 by the late Martin Juredine and Bruce Medorsky, the legendary watering hole closed for good in September of 2016.
In Williams Lake, British Columbia, there is a bike shop called the Barking Spider Mountain Bike store.
There's another bar called the Barking Spider. This one is in North Creek, New York. See http://adirondackbars.com/.
And, there's a Barking Spider Pub and Grub in South Africa on the coast in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
