It is a very cold morning here in Jamestown, New Mexico.
I just got done checking the National Weather Service's website and this is what they have to say:
Another cold day is in store despite sunny to mostly sunny skies and light winds. High temperatures will range from 10 to 25 degrees below average for the date. Another very cold night is in store tonight, especially for areas that received significant snowfall.
However, it is expected to be warmer today than yesterday with today's high to be around 40°. Yesterday's temperatures didn't get out of the 20s. This'll allow me to unplug The Beast (for the holding tank and space heater) so I can go down to the Flying J to check the mail and, if anyone shows up, attend the usual morning gathering of neighbors at Denny's.
Unless I am mistaken, some of them were to go elk hunting this week. I sure as heck wouldn't want to be in a tent camping in these temperatures.
This is sure different climate than Southern California.
