Back in August 1985, Platrix Chapter No. 2, E Clampus Vitus had the honor of inducting into the order Gene Autry, the singing cowboy and then-owner of the California Angels.

The initiation rites were held in private in Autry's office. Following that, Platrix Chapter No. 2 dedicated a plaque at the stadium with our new member in attendance.

The chapter had its own section of seats to watch the ballgame. But before the game, we had a clamper parade on the stadium field.

A fun day was had by all!

Satisfactory!

Such great history you have provided. I have enjoyed his music and movies. Never knew he was a Brother. Thank you!

I was scanning some family photos from 1985 and came across it. Perfect time to post a blog on the occasion. - A.

According to XSNGH Glenn Thornhill:

A friend notified us at the time and I called the stadium’s security office and they saved the plaque for us and we picked it up and it is now in storage. Safe, but without a home, for now...
