22° or 16°?

Just a few minutes ago, I checked the forecasts of both The Weather Channel and the National Weather Service.

It is interesting that they have differing temperature forecasts for Thursday night. The National Weather Service says it will be "around" 22° and The Weather Channel says it will be 16°.

Since The Weather Channel tends to be more accurate in its forecasts for Jamestown, New Mexico, I would go along with their forecast. Still I am not worried as The Beast has been winterized and the batteries are fully charged.

Here's the forecast by the National Weather Service:

Today
Sunny, with a high near 68. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 40. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
Thursday
Sunny, with a high near 53. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Thursday Night
Clear, with a low around 22. North wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
