As I thought, the election is turning out to be a nerve-wracking one.
The presidential race is up in the air as indications of massive shenanigans by Democrats in Pennsylvania are holding up vote counting.
But, in New Mexico, even though the stranglehold the Democrats have on this state continues, there's one glimmer of hope as Yvette Herrell has defeated Rep. Xochitl Torres Small in one of the more conservative congressional districts.
According to KVIA Channel 7:
LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- In one of the country's most hotly contested U.S. House races, Republican challenger Yvette Herrell won by roughly 20,000 votes late Tuesday night, as the New Mexico Secretary of State said only 2,000 absentee ballots remained to be counted.
Incumbent Democrat Xochitl Torres Small and Herrell had faced off in a heated rematch of 2018 in southern New Mexico's vast 2nd Congressional District district.
Torres Small ran in 2018 as a "moderate" Democrat who would work with Republicans and implied (by her ads) that she would defend the Second Amendment. She didn't. She voted for impeaching Trump and voted about 95% with Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She would say one thing to your face and do the exact opposite. She cooked her own goose.
