Rain Instead of Snow

Above, the mesas two years ago. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Yesterday was cold and windy, so I ended up staying indoors at home all day.

The high got to 32°. That, plus the wind, was enough for me to avoid going outside.

Today will be warmer and the forecast for snow this week has been changed to just rain showers starting Wednesday night and into Thursday.

From the National Weather Service:

Today
Sunny, with a high near 46. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight
Clear, with a low around 16. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday
Sunny, with a high near 55. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 22. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 59. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night
A 50 percent chance of showers after 11pm. Increasing clouds, with a low around 33.
Thursday
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11am, then a chance of showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
