Winds Wreck Deck Umbrella

Above, the umbrella that was destroyed. Photo taken two weeks ago. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

More than once this spring I have heard Jamestown locals lamenting about the never-ending winds we've been having. It does seem like there's no end to them.

Well, yesterday, a big gust of wind blew over (along with the patio table) my deck umbrella, thereby making mince meat out of it. (The table's okay.)

This is the second deck umbrella that has been thrashed. The first one happened only a few months after getting it. A dust devil took it and damaged it beyond repair. Home Depot replaced it for free. At least this one lasted for almost three years.

I ordered a new one after straightening out everything and tossing the umbrella into the trash container. The new one should arrive by the end of the week.
