Now that the summer season is over, now is a good time to visit Grand Canyon National Park in northern Arizona.

The crowds are gone and the pace is more leisurely. And, one can drive their vehicle to various viewpoints.

St. George News reported that the park will be shifting to its winter operations.

They wrote:

ST. GEORGE — Beginning Wednesday, visitors traveling to Grand Canyon National Park this winter season should be prepared for modified changes in operations. Visitors should also plan ahead and anticipate temporary road closures and poor driving conditions whenever winter storms pass through the area.
