KOB Channel 4 News posted the following video of the new eateries at the Albuquerque Sunport.
It looks like travelers will get more choices for food while at the airport.
Unfortunately, the Rio Grande Brew Pub will not be back. According to sources, it is permanently closed. It was there that I discovered Alien Amber Ale.

That time of year is fast approaching.
The 2024 Roswell UFO Festival will be held in Roswell, New Mexico on July 5-7. I attended the UFO Festival in 2018 and had a great time.

ROSWELL, N.M. — The City of Roswell is preparing for its annual UFO Festival. This year will mark the 77th anniversary after a UFO reportedly crashed near Roswell and put the city on the map.
There is going to be a little something for everyone.
“At the Chaves County courthouse lawn, we’ll be hosting the human costume contest, and that morning we’ll also be hosting the pet costume contest, which is very, very, a favorite of everyone,” said Barbara Gomez, the executive director for Main Street Roswell.
Adding to those contests are some stargazing and UFO expert lectures. For the first time this year, the festival will feature a car show.
As the city prepares for the festival, they are expecting anywhere between 5,000 to 10,000 believers.

When we visited Roswell, New Mexico in July 2018 for the UFO Festival, we stayed at the Trailer Village RV Park.
Like many other Roswell businesses, the RV park had alien figures on the property along with souvenirs. The town's McDonalds restaurant is even designed to look like a flying saucer.
As things often happen, a new business capitalizing on UFO tourism is about to start construction in the town, UFO RV Resort. Yes, that's going to be the park's name.
KOB Channel 4 reported:
ROSWELL, N.M. — The City of Roswell is working to address its housing shortage while also boosting the tourism industry with an RV park.
The UFO RV Resort will be off Second Street — the perfect spot for both tourists and residents looking for a permanent spot for their RV. The owner of the property, along with city leaders, gathered at the site earlier this week to start construction on the project.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Western New Mexico and the northern mountains will be hit first by an incoming storm system that will eventually bring snow to much of the state.
The snow will impact the Albuquerque and Santa Fe metros Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. I-25 from Glorieta Pass to the Colorado border could even see major-to-extreme travel impacts.
For Tuesday night, major travel impacts are likely for I-40 from Gallup to Grants and U.S. 550 along the Continental Divide. Those impacts will taper off Wednesday for I-40 and Wednesday night for U.S. 550.
Cuba will likely see the most snowfall, with 6-8 inches of snow possible. Gallup may see 4-6 inches and Grants may see 3-4 inches.
Well, the snow did arrive last night and from what I can see, it looks like 2-3 inches came down in Jamestown. This is much more than yesterday's storm, which was about a half inch at best.

This morning, I received the following email from the Ronchetti campaign. It says that evidence has surfaced that KOB provided Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham with debate questions in advance. This took place in 2018.
The email begins with:
BREAKING NEWS: Late last night, text messages were released by a lawyer showing that MLG’s campaign was given the complete debate questions and TV script weeks before the gubernatorial debate last election cycle.
MLG will do absolutely anything to attain and hold onto power, including cheating and deceiving New Mexico voters.

It appears that New Mexico has a lot of stupid voters as Gov. "Malevolent Michelle" Lujan Grisham has increased here lead over Mark Ronchetti, if one actually believes a poll released a few days ago.
According to the NM Political Report:
A new poll conducted by SurveyUSA for KOB-TV found that incumbent Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has a double-digit lead over her Republican opponent, Mark Ronchetti in her reelection campaign.
The poll of likely voters found that Lujan Grisham has the support of 48 percent of likely voters, with 36 percent saying they would vote for Ronchetti and 5 percent for Libertarian Karen Bedonie. Another 11 percent would not say or are undecided.
The poll found Lujan Grisham had a lead of 59 percent to 26 percent among Hispanic voters, while leading by 18 percentage points among women and 6 percent among men. Men are traditionally more conservative voters.
Admittedly, Mark Ronchetti was not my first choice to be the Republican nominee, but he is far more preferable than Lujan Grisham. Who, in their right minds, would vote for someone who killed over 40% of businesses in the state with her edicts and, at the same time, lived and partied lavishly on the taxpayers' dime? She is also trying to destroy the oil and gas industry in the state, an industry that provides dollars to the state budget as well as forcing people to buy electric vehicles starting in 2026.
One can attribute her lead increase over the huge out-of-state money she has raised.
According to KOAT:
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — More than $17 million has been raised by all of the candidates running for governor – and more than 30 percent of those funds are coming from out-of-state donors.
So far, Democrat incumbent Michelle Lujan Grisham has raised more than $10 million dollars for her re-election campaign. Republican challenger Mark Ronchetti has brought in more than $6 million.

A variant of the coronavirus, called the "Delta variant", has surfaced in the northern area of the Navajo Nation.
According to KOB Channel 4:
WINDOW ROCK, A.Z.- Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez said the first case of the Delta variant was identified in the northern part of the Nation.
"It is a concern right now, we're monitoring the individual who did get the virus. To my understanding, was vaccinated and not that much sickness, and we will see that in the next couple of days how that individual is doing," said Nez.
President Nez said the symptoms and sickness could have been worse without the vaccine. He encouraged the Navajo people to get the vaccine.
Besides that, KOB reported that a resolution passed calling for the 50% reopening of Navajo Nation parks and recreational areas. It has yet to reach Nez's desk.

For some reason, I was expecting the KOB Channel 4 debate between Rep. Ben Ray Lujan and Mark Ronchetti to be held tomorrow night. (That's what I read.)
Instead, it was held this evening.

ALBUQUERQUE, OCTOBER 5 — Tonight Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mark Ronchetti was the clear winner in a KOB-Santa Fe New Mexican debate against Rep. Ben Ray Lujan. The face-off also included Libertarian candidate Bob Walsh.
The debate demonstrated why Ronchetti deserves to be our next U.S. Senator. He focused on crime and the economy, providing specifics and a precise vision of where he wants to take New Mexico for the next six years. Lujan seemed lost and desperately tried to defend his record in Congress but failed to convince anyone that he has achieved any meaningful accomplishments for New Mexicans while in Washington.
Lujan seemed flustered and often evaded the questions. Ronchetti was confident, sharp and on target with his points.
“Mark Ronchetti demonstrated his strong political convictions and truly understands what New Mexico needs in these trying times,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. “He exposed Lujan’s weak record in Washington and explained how the Congressman is two-faced when it comes to his actions in Washington and his desire to help his home state. It’s obvious that Ronchetti understands New Mexico and has real solutions. He knows what needs to get done to crack down on crime and to revitalize our economy.”
