BFI Snowflakes and James Bond

Almost a year ago, I posted about the woke mob going after James Bond 007. Specifically, Ian Fleming's novels.

The stupidity is continuing. Now it's the movies' turn.

The Gateway Pundit posted:

Now, the British Film Institute (BFI) is adding multiple trigger warnings ahead of its tribute to composer John Barry, whose catalog includes several Bond movies.

The Daily Mail reports that the snowflakes at the BFI have issued an “‘absurd’ trigger alert for modern day film-goers, warning 007’s movies could ’cause offence’ and upset  modern-day film lovers.”

Film buffs attending a season of classic movies have been warned Bond’s adventures ‘will cause offence today’, with big screen hits like Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice containing language and themes that were ‘prevalent’ in the 1960s.

My parents took me to see a double bill of Dr. No and From Russia With Love (both starring Sean Connery) back when I was nine years old in 1963. I didn't get "upset" by those movies. In fact, quite the opposite. I became a life-long fan of the James Bond movies and, later, the Ian Fleming books.

In 1964, my parents took a couple of friends and I to see Goldfinger. None of us got "offended" or "upset". My friends also became fans. One of them bought the Goldfinger soundtrack album by John Barry and we all played it to death.

There are sure a lot of lamebrains out and about these days. When will the insanity end?

We Now Are Living In A Monte Python Sketch

Here's a sketch from Monte Python's The Life of Brian from 1979.

It was recognized for the ridiculousness it actually was. Now, we're living it and the Democrat Party has adopted it as one of their positions.

One person commented:
In 1979, this was funny because of how unreal it was.
In 2023, this is funny because of how real it has become.

Another person commented:

It's quite scary really. Even in the 90's this sort of thing was so laughable because of how utterly ridiculous it was. Obviously no sane human would ever say such things... and yet here we are, it's being systematically enforced by schools, governments, and corporations. You can literally be fired, or suspended, or arrested in some countries for not playing along with this Monty Python skit!

And, another comment:

Watching this in 2023 and still can't believe how accurate this scene is in describing today's reality. It's like traveling from the present to the past then straight back to the present.

Rep. John Block Tweets About Democrats In The Legislature

Above, Rep. John Block.

Rep. John Bloc (R), District: 51, Otero County, posted some interesting tweets on Twitter about actions the Democrats took in this year's legislative session and my comments.

Here's two from today:

Why can’t they just be reasonable? Yesterday, Democrats passed a bill to put feminine hygiene products in boys’ public school bathrooms. Why not just in girls’ bathrooms? Because that would make too much sense! They ruined a good idea with nonsensical wokeness. Beyond words.

Given the crime situation in Albuquerque and other areas, maybe they feel that since tampons do come in handy to stop bleeding from bullet wounds, the boys can have access to them for this purpose?

Dems just killed my amendment to protect girls from having men in their locker rooms. Disgusting.

What do you expect from a party that is inhabited by insane people?

Biden For No More Oil Drilling

Here's something to think about when you go vote on Tuesday (thank you, James Woods). Are we to use fairy dust to fuel our vehicles?

Vote out every lunatic Democrat!

Democrats Seek To Ban Trump From Being Buried In Arlington National Cemetery

The Looney Left Report

One would think that after putting their man in the White House, the Democrats could purge their Trump Derangement Syndrome, let go and move on.

Apparently not.

From Todd Starnes:

A new bill in Congress shows just how far Democrats are willing to go with their hatred for former President Trump.

The “No Glory For Hate Act,” introduced by California Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez, would ban the federal government from commemorating Trump in any way.

H.R. 484 states “twice impeached” presidents will be banned from being buried at Arlington National Cemetery and prohibit federal funds from being used to display their names or acknowledge their achievements.

What this says is that Democrats cannot shake their hatred for Trump and, despite their crocodile calls for unity, are incapable of putting Ttump in the rearview mirror. They are nothing but a bunch of insane sick bastards. (And that's being kind.)

Biden Is Already Screwing Up

It didn't take very long for President "Plugs" Biden to screw things up after he was sworn in.

From the Republican Party of New Mexico:

Albuquerque, January 20—Today President Biden signed two executive orders that will have a serious impact on New Mexico and its workforce. Hours after his inauguration, Biden stopped funding for President Trump’s border wall. He also signed an executive order that will have the United States rejoin the Paris accord.

The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce on the two executive actions:

“While we wish success for any new administration and commend President Biden in his call for unity, the executive orders he signed today present serious problems for New Mexico and our country. Cutting off border wall funding will have a harmful impact on immigration policy and will make our American border less secure. Biden’s executive order to re-enter the Paris climate accord will also have a devastating impact on New Mexico, which relies heavily on its vital oil and gas industry. The accord mandate, transitioning away from fossil fuels, will hurt our state even more than COVID-19. This move would mean crippling job losses and billions in lost revenues for New Mexico."

The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico. Led by an Executive Board and its Chairman, former NM Congressman Steve Pearce, RPNM serves all New Mexicans via its headquarters in Albuquerque and can be contacted at (505) 298-3662.

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas had this reaction to Biden's executive orders on the Paris climate accord and the border wall:

By signing this order, President Biden indicates that he’s more interested in the views of the citizens of Paris than in the jobs of the citizens of Pittsburgh. Rejoining the Paris agreement isn’t about ‘restoring America’s leadership abroad’ or ‘solving the climate crisis,’ but instead it is about Democrats’ plans to destroy jobs they don’t like—including thousands of manufacturing jobs—and cede control of our energy future to other countries. America’s ‘commitment’ to the Paris Climate Agreement will be used by the Biden administration as justification for a whole litany of new executive actions and burdensome federal regulations to shape our energy and environmental policy—which will burden American families, manufacturers, and businesses with higher energy costs at a time when they are already struggling.

If the Biden administration believes that rejoining the agreement is something the American people should support, then he should submit the Paris Climate Agreement to the Senate as a treaty and let the people decide through their elected representatives. But he knows that it would fail. So like his Democratic predecessor, President Biden is governing by executive fiat.

Without the Paris Climate Agreement, the United States has led the world in emissions reductions. Likewise, the United States over the last 50 years has dramatically reduced the levels of some of the most harmful pollutants and improved the air quality for all Americans, while at the same time helping more people get better paying jobs and improving their lives.

Rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement will do little to affect the climate, and will harm the livelihoods of everyday Americans all across the country. I’ll continue working with my colleagues to fight for blue-collar workers and to defend America’s energy independence.

It is deeply troubling that most of Joe Biden’s first acts as president were to protect illegal immigrants and encourage illegal immigration at the expense of American jobs and workers. Not only has he chosen to halt construction of a wall on America’s southern border and to continue Barack Obama’s illegal executive amnesty by preserving the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, but he is promoting open-borders legislation that would gift citizenship to over 11 million illegal immigrants, roll back immigration enforcement, and promote and increase foreign labor at a time when many Americans desperately need work.

These actions illustrate that today’s Democratic Party puts people here illegally – or attempting to come here illegally – before American workers. President Biden and his administration may not see a problem with illegal immigration, but millions of working men and women do. His executive actions and policies make a mockery of the rule of law, and his deeply unserious legislative push demonstrates that, despite his rhetoric, he is fully on-board with the radical open-borders agenda.  I will continue to fight for measures to secure our border, reform our legal immigration system, and uphold the rule of law.

We're in for a rough ride, folks!
