Rep. Torres Small Runs Deceptive Ad

Rep. Xochitl Torres Small is unable to tell the truth.

From the Republican Party of New Mexico:

Xochitl Torres Small is up with her new ad, claiming that she stood up to her party to pass the USMCA. Her only problem? It’s a lie. 

Torres Small cites her statement from December 2019 as evidence she pushed for USMCA passage. But what she leaves out is that Torres Small and her fellow Democrats delayed approval of the USMCA for more a year. 

And that Torres Small’s statement on passing USMCA came only after business groups ran TV ads criticizing her inaction. 

And that Torres Small’s statement came after her party had finally dropped its opposition and just days before the House approved the deal. 

The reality is that Xochitl Torres Small is a reliable partisan vote for Democrats, as evidenced by her record of voting with Nancy Pelosi 95% of the time.
