One of the first things I bought for my then-new 2015 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 22R five years ago was a RV surge protector.

I have camped in RV parks where the power hook-ups looked dated or not well maintained. I have also experienced electrical storms while camping as well. That is why having a surge protector is an important piece of equipment to protect RVs.
