Dodgers Win World Series, But...

While I am glad that the Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2024 World Series in Yankee Stadium last night, I can't get past the fact that I am done with them and Major League Baseball in general. I did not watch any of the games.

The reasons were their support for the Black Lives Matter Marxist group. I stated my outrage here. That was later reinforced when Major League Baseball pulled the All-Star Game from Atlanta in 2020. I wrote about that here.

Then, the Dodgers did something even more stupid last year:

But inclusion for some has come to mean exclusion for others. As part of their Pride Night celebrations, the Dodgers invited, then uninvited, then reinvited the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence," a self-described "Order of queer and trans nuns" who "use humor and irreverent wit to expose the forces of bigotry."

Their target is frequently the Catholic Church. The group's roster includes such faux-religious ribaldry as Sister Risqué of the Sissytine Chapel, Father Fellatio, Sister Missionary Position, and other less printable mockery of traditional Catholic figures and beliefs. Their motto: "Go forth and sin some more!"

The Dodgers saw fit to bestow the team's Community Hero Award on the group, despite a fairly pedestrian record of actual impact; per their documents filed with the IRS, the group offers modest grants, between $50,000 and $60,000 to community groups each year. Backlash ensued, but after an initial backtrack, the team reinvited the "Sisters."

The news came as a betrayal to many longtime Dodger fans, who remembered devout Catholic Vin Scully melodically commentating games for 67 seasons, the "Nuns Days" that used to fill Chavez Ravine with (real) wimples and habits, and the Catholic Bronze Star recipient Gil Hodges playing at first base. The Dodgers seemed content to throw that history away, to the dismay of Catholics like Bishop Robert Barron, until recently an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, who called for a boycott of the team.

Since I was already done with the Dodgers and Major League Baseball, I didn't bother to comment on that.  

I will always treasure being a Dodger fan while the team was owned by Walter and Peter O'Malley. But, I am no longer a fan under the current ownership. 

Target Backing Org That Wants Mt. Rushmore Closed

The Target Corporation is backing a far-left group that advocates demilitarizing the U.S. military and closing Mount Rushmore, as a "symbol of white supremacy".

Fox News reported:

FOX NEWS INVESTIGATES – Since the George Floyd protests and riots of 2020, Target Corporation said it ramped up its diversity, equity and inclusion work. This agenda extended far beyond enhancing representation and support of historically marginalized groups externally and in its stores, and dipped into funding organizations with far-left and blatantly political agendas.

Target's "accelerated" its DEI program in response to Black Lives Matter activism under the leadership of its diversity chief – Kiera Fernandez. The chief has demanded that "White women" get to work to combat the proclaimed systemic racism in America. 

Fox News Digital found that Target, via its nonprofit foundation, which has been directed by the retail giant's senior corporate treasurers, funded a grantee pushing to shut down and give away U.S. sovereign land such as Mount Rushmore – believing it to be an "international symbol of White supremacy" and to demilitarize the "violent" U.S. military. The same grantee also supports the destruction of Israel's Jewish character through what is called the Palestinian "Law of Return" and implementing economic warfare tactics against the Jewish State, such as boycotts and sanctions, to "Free Palestine."

Spice Company's 'Republicans Are Racist' Promotion Backfires Spectacularly

I've seen many insane things done or said by the radical left wing, but the following takes the cake (well, at least for the end of January).

The Blaze reported:

A Milwaukee-based spice company is pleading with customers to buy gift cards after a recent promotion declaring that "Republicans are racist" backfired spectacularly.

Penzey's Spices used Martin Luther King Jr. Day to peddle their goods and besmirch Republicans. The spice company held a "Republicans are Racist Weekend" sale, which they promised to "cheese off racists." The spice company also offered Black Lives Matter stickers with every purchase during MLK weekend.

The company's owner sent an email to their customers that stated, "Remember how Republicans did all they could to derail that success by trying to drown out BLM’s message with shouts of all lives matter, and blue lives matter, and lying about the leaders of BLM being Marxists and Communists?"

In a 2015 interview, Black Lives Matter Global Network co-founder Patrisse Cullors openly admitted that she and fellow BLM co-founder Alicia Garza are "trained Marxists."

With idiots like Penzey's Spices around spreading lies, small wonder that this country has become so polarized.

(Zero Hedge)  -  If you’re looking for proof positive that Larry Elder is making progress toward winning California’s recall election, look no further than the LA Times.

The paper published a column on Friday claiming that longtime conservative, Fox News contributor and syndicated talk radio host Elder “is the Black face of white supremacy”.

Columnist Erika D. Smith wrote: “Few things infuriate me more than watching a Black person use willful blindness and cherry-picked facts to make overly simplistic arguments that whitewash the complex problems that come along with being Black in America.”

Melina Abdullah, cofounder of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, even chimed in: “He is a danger, a clear and present danger.”

Abdullah continued: “Anytime you put a Black face on white supremacy, which is what Larry Elder is, there are people who will utilize that as an opportunity to deny white supremacy. They say, ‘How could this be white supremacy? This is a Black man.’ But everything that he’s pushing, everything that he stands for, he is advancing white supremacy.”

U.S. Women's Soccer Idiots

The U.S. women’s soccer team took a devastating 3-0 loss to Sweden early Wednesday morning in their Tokyo Olympic opener, breaking their 44-game winning streak.

All 22 players on Team USA took a knee in solidarity with the radical leftist group Black Lives Matter before the game, a major point of contention with U.S. fans.

Serves them right! Since all 22 players took a knee, then karma nailed their asses real good!

I would congratulate Sweden for their win, but they also took a knee before the game as did other teams.

Done With Major League Baseball For Good!

The 1994–95 Major League Baseball strike virtually killed my interest in major league baseball for about 20 years.

Six years ago, my interest in MLB (specifically, the Los Angeles Dodgers) started coming back. But that has proven to be short-lived.

Last year, MLB decided to back the Black Lives Matter movement. Many of us are aware that the BLM is a Marxist organization from their own statements and websites. Politics has no business being injected into professional sports and I decided that this was enough for me to say "sayonara". At the time, I was unsure if this were temporary or permanent.

But I'm sure now.

Georgia passed their voting law, which calls for voter identification, Major League Baseball, under pressure of His Fraudulency Joe Biden and leftist Democrats, moved the All-Star Game from Atlanta. The funny thing is, much of what the left is complaining about is not even in the new law. (To read the law's full text, go here.)

It appears that Major League Baseball, Coca-Cola and other corporations are siding with those who would engage in voter and election fraud over those who support voting integrity. 

Well, the hell with all of them. I am now permanently done with Major League Baseball. The only professional sport I will support from here on is rodeo. At least rodeos are still patriotic.

Pearl Milling Company, Aunt Jemima's New Name, Gets Battered

Of all the stupid things to come out of the Marxist-driven Black Lives Matter frenzy last year, it is renaming iconic product symbols that takes the cake (pun intended).

The name change for the Aunt Jemima brand is getting slammed. Deservedly so!

The New York Post reported:

Aunt Jemima’s new name, Pearl Milling Company, is getting battered online for sounding like an unappetizing “gravel mining company” or “a James Bond villain.”

The unsavory reviews are pouring in from Twitter, with some breakfast buffs threatening to switch to Pearl Milling’s competitors, Mrs. Butterworth’s or Log Cabin, over the revamp.

“I think it sounds like a gravel mining company,” lawyer Michelle Rozovics wrote.

Another said Pearl Milling Company sounded like “something owned by a James Bond Villain.”

Meanwhile, one critic noted, “Pearl Milling Company? Sounds like a generic house brand for Dollar General.”

Some even vowed to boycott the brand altogether.

That includes me. I have a box of Aunt Jemima pancake mix in my kitchen cupboard. Once that's gone, unless the company comes to its senses, no Pearl Milling Company pancake mix will grace my kitchen. 

The family of Aunt Jemima is steadfastly opposed to the name change.

Hopefully, the name change will go into the "ash heap of history" like new Coke. Aunt Jemima/Pearl Milling Company brands are owned by PepsiCo.

L.A. Dodgers Win The 2020 World Series

Finally, since 1988, the Los Angeles Dodgers won a World Series.

Until they decided to join in the misguided stunt of having "BLM" on their field at Dodger Stadium when the season started, "BLM" jerseys and giving money to "BLM" organizations, I have been almost a lifelong fan. Many, along with me, have shunned professional sports over politics (Black Lives Matter are Marxist organizations). 

Because of that, I did not follow the World Series this year. Back in the late-1970s to the early-1990s, I spent a lot of time (and cash) at Dodger Stadium.

I have no idea if, or ever, I will ever become a fan again.

Don't Expect Nice

This is not the time for conservatives to "play nice" with the Democrats and the other leftist wackos.

Graceland Perimeter Wall Vandalized By BLM

Apparently, nothing is sacred anymore.

The front perimeter walls of Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion were vandalized with BLM graffiti.

According to popculture.com:

This week saw several spots in Memphis, including Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion, vandalized with graffiti promoting the Black Lives Matter movement and calling to defund the police, among other messages. The graffiti at Graceland was found on a rock wall outside the property on Elvis Presley Boulevard Tuesday morning before it was power washed by a worker. 

Presley's ex-wife Priscilla Presley offered her thoughts on the vandalism with a post on Facebook Thursday, writing that she was "horrified" by the graffiti. "Concerning the graffiti at Graceland, I'm absolutely horrified that those in our own city disgraced the walls surrounding Graceland," her post read. "I'm saddened by acts like this and appalled by this behavior. We were able to clean all the graffiti off thanks to our dedicated crew."

Goodyear Goes Into Plan B To Stop The Hemorrhage

Since Goodyear's stock value took a major hit yesterday (about a $54 million loss), they had to do something to stop the hemorrhage.

Rich Kramer, Goodyear's CEO and President issued a letter today with a further explanation of the visual slide that was leaked by an employee that caused the "fit hitting the shan" that led President Trump to call for a boycott of Goodyear.

The letter is a lot more convincing than yesterday's contradictory statement the company issued. Still, I have to wonder if they still approve the wearing of Marxist BLM apparel. That part of the slide still hasn't been clarified.

Goodyear Goes Self-Inflicted "Hindenburg" On Itself

The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company is seeing firsthand what pushback looks like.

During the past 24 hours, this image was leaked into the Internet:

MAGA hats, Blue Lives Matter (i.e., law enforcement), All Lives Matter and other political slogans and material are "unacceptable", according to their "Diversity Training Slide". But Black Lives Matter (BLM), a Marxist organization is "Acceptable".

This caught the attention of President Trump, who Tweeted:

Social media and other Internet outlets have been in an uproar over Goodyear's stance. They tried to walk this back, but they aren't convincing anyone.

We have heard from some of you that believe Goodyear is anti-police after reacting to the visual. Nothing could be further from the truth, and we have the upmost appreciation for the vital work police do on behalf of our shared communities. This can’t be said strongly enough.

It is interesting that they deny creating or distributing the visual, but wrote this piece to "provide some important context" to it. Well, if they didn't create it (I could concede it could have been leaked from an insider), why put any "context" to it? Seems to be a contradiction. Why didn't they just call a press conference and deny that it came from them? Maybe it's because they can't.

A friend, who is (or was) a big Goodyear blimp fan, was not impressed with Goodyear's statement.

He wrote:

The most pathetic and sycophantic case of "CYA" I have ever seen. Corporate cowardice on a grand scale. You have lost me as a customer and lifelong admirer of your company forever.

I have to agree. Corporate cowardice indeed!

La Corte News reported:

A viral photo of a slide presentation from a recent Goodyear diversity training session shows that the company gives employees the green light to wear attire supportive of causes like the Black Lives Matter movement while explicitly forbidding anything related to MAGA and Blue Lives Matter. 

In response, President Trump tweeted “Don’t buy GOODYEAR TIRES” and the company took a hit on the stock market. Today, Goodyear stock dropped 2.36%, lowering the valuation of the company by $53.6 million.

Rush: MLB’s Black Lives Matter Support Turns Off Millions of Fans

Rush Limbaugh weighed in on Major League Baseball's embrace of Black Lives Matter yesterday and he was spot-on right about it.

Here some snippets of his comments:

RUSH: No, no. In fact, what I’ve heard, I’ve heard more people are just tuning out baseball. All it took was to see BLM, Black Lives Matter, on the pitcher’s mound at some of these games, and I know some big-time baseball fans that said to heck with this. And they just turned it off. And, you know, I don’t blame ’em. I don’t think these professional sports leagues have the slightest idea what has happened to them and what is in store for them. 

There was a report today that Major League Baseball’s executive council was gonna have a super-secret meeting, and they were going to discuss canceling the whole season. That report, according to latest news, is not true. The latest news, in fact, let me share with you the actual headline: “Report: Major League Baseball Has Not Had Talks of Pausing Season Amid Marlins COVID-19 Outbreak.” 

You know, if they’re not, they’re gonna have to soon because we got three games in, and have you seen the story about A&E? The A&E TV network had this show called Live PD, and it was about cops. They’ve lost half their audience since all this anti-cops stuff started. Arts & Entertainment, co-owned by Walt Disney and Hearst, dropped Live PD in the aftermath of the killing of George Floyd. It was one of their biggest-viewed, most-viewed shows. And it featured body cam footage and footage from the dashboard of the police cars. And people watched it. 

But now, because of the anti-cop sentiment, they’ve lost half of the audience. Now, what does the NFL think is gonna happen and what does Major League Baseball think is gonna happen once they start protesting the anthem and kneeling, which Major League Baseball has done, and they put Black Lives Matter all over the pitcher’s mounds? And it’s a Marxist organization. Everybody knows this. And they’re ignoring it. It’s not hard to find out that it’s not about civil rights. It’s not about fairness. It’s not about doing this. 

It’s a pro-Marxist, anti-American, full-fledged anti-American organization. And the fact that the people in professional sports don’t even seem to care enough to get it right, that they’re just gonna go ahead and follow whatever the erroneous conventional wisdom is, they’re in the process of dwindling their audiences down to — I don’t know what. 

A lot of people are baseball fans where I’m not, but I’ll tell you, I have heard from people who are livid over the Black Lives Matter imposed on the pitcher’s mound, people that are big baseball fans said that was it, tuning out, not watching.

Done With The Dodgers and Major League Baseball

Mookie Betts kneeled during the national anthem before the Dodgers’ season-opening 8-1 win against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday night, joining a growing number of players around baseball this week choosing to protest racial injustice and police brutality with the act. 

“It just shows unity,” Betts said during a televised interview in regard to his teammates joining him. “I think everybody is on board with what’s going on in the world. We have to make some change. It starts here. We have to do our part. It’s amazing to know that everybody here is on board with something that we have to find a way to make change. This is the first step.” 

In addition to Betts, San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler and several of his players also kneeled during “The Star-Spangled Banner,” which followed a pregame ceremony promoting social justice.  

“I have talked to our guys about kneeling and for me it was more of individual choice,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday afternoon, wearing a Black Lives Matter T-shirt for a pregame video conference with reporters. “Collectively, we really haven’t settled on anything. But for me I just wanted to encourage each and every man to make their own decision.”   

Before the game, members of the team wore “Black Lives Matter” shirts on the field. Others wore sleeve patches promoting the cause on their game jerseys. On the back of the mound at Dodger Stadium, the letters “BLM” were written beneath an MLB logo.

My individual choice:

BLM (a Marxist organization) was stenciled on the hallowed field, Dodger players were wearing BLM shirts and kneeling during the national anthem. I am forever done with the Los Angeles Dodgers and major league baseball.

Marxist Black Lives Matter

For those who do not know or are in denial, much of the "Black Lives Matter" movement is a Marxist organization whose goal is to destroy our country.

Some have denied this, but if one should go ahead and Google BLM and Marxism, they will find that they are open about it. Mind you, not all are Marxists, but many of the leaders are.

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report. 

Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview, Breitbart News reported. 

“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.

A friend on Facebook reacted to the support corporations and major league sports to BLM:

And when you see major-league sports, and large corporations voicing their support for BLM it’s extremely disappointing, and disgusting. There can be only two possible reasons for this, either they are extremely ignorant to what BLM is all about, or they are on the side of the Marxists trying to overthrow our country. Either way they completely disgust me.

He is completely right. Include leftist politicians in that as well.

Biden Staffer: Cops "Worse Than Pigs"

It appears the Biden campaign stepped into it.

Unless "Slow Joe" denounces it and fires the staffer, his campaign will be in deeper doo-doo than it is already. It'll show that he is not pro-law & order and is on the side of ANTIFA and BLM.
