Cold Day Best Spent Indoors

Above, snow has already melted from the south-facing mesas. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Today was spent indoors. It is around 31° outside right now. It had been around 28° for most of the day.

I spent part of the time watching Saps At Sea, Laurel & Hardy's last feature film with Hal Roach Studios. The rest of the time was spent reading or napping.

Since I don't have a fireplace, I burned some mesquite incense.

The road in front of the house still is snowy and icy, but there are a few tire tracks through it. Interstate 40 looks like it's flowing normally, then the traffic slows. Glad I'm not driving it. Several semi trucks were involved in accidents, most recently at Mile Marker 27 in Gallup. I've been told that there's still back-up from Gallup to Iyanbito.

The National Weather Service revised their forecast for Monday night. They forecast a 20% chance of snow showers.
