Six Mile Canyon Closed For The Winter

Before this week's snowstorms, I was hoping to get in some Jeep driving in Six Mile Canyon of the Cibola National Forest. But the storms made conditions too cold and muddy. Can't very well hose off mud from the Jeep in freezing temperatures.

Six Mile Canyon closed for the winter to vehicles on Tuesday. It won't reopen again until March 31.

So, weather permitting, I will have to confine my Jeep drives around the community, shooting range and over at the Mesa Ridge Ranch subdivision next to ours.

It has been a good Jeep driving year. Having new parts put in was a help.

The Jeep got a new gas tank, fuel pump, spark plugs, points, condenser, master cylinder and brake adjustments.

I will likely get a new vinyl top for the Jeep next year as the current one's stitching is starting to come apart. It is at least 20 years old.

Can't wait for March 31, 2021.
