Northern Arizona Christmas Weekend Weather

The above indicates that rain and snow will be hitting northern Arizona this weekend, when I am supposed be going to Lake Havasu for Christmas. It is from the Flagstaff office of the National Weather Service.

I am keeping a close watch. I am most concerned about driving conditions in the Flagstaff area. Its elevation is 7,000 feet. High elevations snow is expected there on Friday.

According to the National Weather Service:

Thursday
Partly sunny, with a high near 48. Light east wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 17 mph.
Thursday Night
A 30 percent chance of showers after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. Southeast wind 3 to 5 mph.
Friday
Showers. High near 42. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

I may go a day earlier which the above indicates a "dry period".

Lake Havasu itself may see showers over the weekend.
