Before buying my home in New Mexico, I was considering buying a RV lot at a RV park, but I found that there were too many rules and restrictions (such as RV types and sizes).
Now I have a place that has an extra acre for storing my motorhome and, if they so choose, friends can visit and park their RV (I've enough room for several) there.
However, there is an alternative to buying a RV lot in a resort, if one is so inclined.

While the majority of RV owners like to park their RV at a campground or resort, many owners want to have their own space and make the decision to purchase their own RV lot. From luxurious resorts to basic, family campsites, there are so many types of lots to choose from. However, most of these types of lots can be a little more crowded than you may want.
For someone who travels or lives full-time or long-term in their RV and doesn’t feel the need to be so close to amenities, a rural lot might be a good choice. An RV-friendly rural lot is a piece of land that is zoned to accept RVs or mobile homes.
The RVs, which may also include towable trailers such as tiny homes, can be parked permanently or up to a specific amount of time. Usually the lots are basic and may need to be cleared or developed for water, power, and sewer hookups. However, many lots are ready for parking and hooking up an RV.
The lots are usually located in a rural area, resort area, or unincorporated county away from larger towns and cities. They can range in size from several acres to up to hundreds of acres. The prices can be pretty reasonable as well. Some lots can be purchased for just a few thousand dollars or monthly payments of about $150.To read more, go here.
