Bone-Chillin' Night: Around 6°

Above, the moon a few nights ago. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The night skies will be relatively clear for the next few days, but the temperatures are going to be bone-chillin' cold in New Mexico.

Some have reported that the temperature tonight will drop to 1° and the National Weather Service says tonight's will be "around 6".

Well, it is already down to about 23° in the Jamestown/Gallup area.

The cats's heater is already on (the kittens were playing in 20° temperatures this morning in the yard) and I'll be running my ceramic space heater tonight.

This morning, several of our coffee group arrived at the Flying J with frost on their vehicles. My Mustang was nice and clean. The garage that I keep it in apparently has good insulation as the bottle of water in the Jeep was not frozen when I went to get the Mustang out. It was in the 20s at the time outside.

From the National Weather Service:

Tonight
Clear, with a low around 6. Wind chill values as low as -1. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tuesday
Sunny, with a high near 31. Wind chill values as low as -3. North wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 10. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
