Biden's Energy Policies Already Killing Jobs

Dear Friends,

It was projected, and now it’s happening.

President Biden’s environmental policies—nothing less than a declaration of war against the oil and gas industry--are already destroying jobs, crushing communities and hurting families.

In the past two weeks, Biden has issued executive orders, stopping Keystone XL Pipeline construction and putting a moratorium on oil and gas leases and drilling permits on public lands. The nation’s fossil fuels industry sits on the edge of destruction.

RPNM Chairman Pearce has warned the governor, state leaders and a national audience that New Mexico’s essential oil and gas industry is seriously being threatened. Oil and gas is a key New Mexico industry that provides more than 100,000 jobs and billions to our state economy.

Biden’s Keystone XL Pipeline executive order is already taking a toll on American workers and communities. Pipeline crews and pipeline inventory in towns along the Keystone’s multi-state route are sitting idle. That will mean unemployment and an increase in diesel and rail costs to move oil, placing a heavy burden on American taxpayers.

Biden’s policy at this time is to simply destroy jobs. Should we be killing jobs when 18 million Americans are unemployed?

The Biden team and Cabinet designates are freely admitting that the President’s environmental positions will kill our work force and economies. They don’t care.

Biden’s EPA Administrator nominee, Michael Regan, made it perfectly clear when he admitted that although Biden has already cost jobs, there’s no “silver bullet” to get Americans back to work. He called the job-killings “transitioning the economy.”

Biden's Energy Secretary nominee, Jennifer Granholm, admitted that there are “jobs that might be sacrificed” with Biden’s federal lands fracking ban.

John Kerry, the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, addressed Biden’s agenda to destroy American energy jobs, casually saying it's “what needs to be done.”

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg defends the elimination of Keystone Pipeline jobs, shrugging off the notion of job losses, saying those workers need to get “different ones.”

And the President won’t even have the decency to answer questions. When asked, he walks away!

Of course, all this is happening while Gov. Lujan Grisham remains silent, as she watches the slow destruction of her state’s most important industry.

Let's put a stop to all this!
