"Slight" Chance of Snow Showers

Above, snow at Red Rock Park Campground last December. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

As I am writing this, the sun has already risen, but one can't see it as there's a heavy cloud cover over the area.

I took a look at today's National Weather Service forecast a little bit ago and it says we have a "slight" chance for rain/snow showers before 8:00. The outside temperature is 34° currently.

It is probably too muddy outside for any Jeep driving (not that it couldn't handle it) unless I just stay on paved roads.

There's another reason for not driving in the mud. Victor, who sold the Jeep to me, told me the other day that when mud gets caked up in the undercarriage, it has a tendency to slightly pull the wires from the rear lights, rendering them inoperable.

So, I guess I can wait a while so the ground can dry out.

The forecast:

Today
A slight chance of snow showers before 8am, then a slight chance of rain showers between 8am and 2pm. Areas of fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 53. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 59. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the morning.
