San Francisco's New D.A.: Will Not Prosecute Quality-of-Life Crimes

The San Francisco District Attorney announced that they would not prosecute shoplifters for thefts under $995.

San Francisco's newly elected district attorney has promised not to prosecute public urination and other quality-of-life crimes that have plagued the lucrative Bay Area amid a crippling homelessness crisis affecting urban communities across California. 
In response to an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire reported by The San Francisco Chronicle last month, Chesa Boudin said such crimes should not be prosecuted.

"We will not prosecute cases involving quality-of-life crimes," he said. "Crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc., should not and will not be prosecuted. Many of these crimes are still being prosecuted; we have a long way to go to decriminalize poverty and homelessness.”  
The son of parents who were members of the radical left-wing Weather Underground, Boudin grew up with his parents incarcerated for their roles in an armed robbery that left three men dead.
We can thank the left-wing Democrat Party and their stupid voters for turning San Francisco and other places in California into sh*tholes.

Without the rights to life, liberty, and property, human society could not properly exist. Human beings have the natural RIGHT to protect their own lives and property. We have DELEGATED much of the enforcement of these rights to government on the UNDERSTANDING that government agencies will faithfully carry out this duty. When the government refuses to do so, it is violating its part of the agreement that holds society together. The obvious recourse is that private citizens will be forced to take back the job of protecting their own rights to life and property, with all the potential for error and danger that involves. The next phase (already beginning) is that government will begin prosecuting innocent people for the "crime" of protecting/defending their own rights because the government will no longer do so. Guns are one effective means by which individuals can defend their lives, their property, their families, and their communities. Yet, governments are attacking/weakening the Second Amendment while at the same time refusing to protect the rights of the people. We live at a very strange time in human history.
