Tonight was spent at our monthly dinner group gathering at writer/historial Martin Link's.
I was "volunteered" to do the cooking as I seemed to be the only one who knew how to cook fish. It was salmon and catfish. Everyone enjoyed the meal.
It was the first time since I moved from California that I did any cooking on an electric range.

The conversation ranged from historical buildings in Gallup to different movies and movie stars as well as locations, most notably Monument Valley.

After the dinner, we headed back to Jamestown. We left Gallup at 34° and arrived in Jamestown, which was at 29°. It's going to be a cold night. The National Weather Service says it will get down to 22° tonight.
One of the other guests checked his weather app and said it will get down to 7°. I'll take the 22°. But with these cold temperatures, it really doesn't matter.

One thing I did notice when I got out of Greg Lucier's truck when we arrived at my house, was that the Milky Way was clearly visible. It may be cold outside, but the sky was very clear. Too bad it is too cold to sit outside and enjoy the view.
