Today is day one of the Red Rock Balloon Rally at Red Rock Park near Gallup.
According to the National Weather Service, the temperature is going to be between 27° to 32° and partly cloudy (no rain, though). The Weather Channel says it will be 24° at 7:00 this morning.
According to the rally's schedule, the launching of the balloons will begin around 7:30.
It is going to be cold out, regardless. But at least it is not snowing this year, unlike last year's balloon rally.
I decided to skip camping at the Red Rock Park Campground. I will head over around 7:00.
Hopefully, I will find a good vantage point (I already have a few places in mind) and the balloons actually do launch.
