Quite often, people working abroad will eventually miss some things about their homeland. The Japanese are no exception.
RocketNews24 has an article on six things Japanese expats miss the most about their homeland after working and living abroad. I can easily see why they would miss the things listed.

I received a pass for free travel as an apology from the line. Other train companies honored it.
