While much of Friday's snow is still on the ground, the near-40° temperature is melting it from the walkways, driveway and the roads.
A couple of hours ago, I got the Jeep out and went down to the Flying J to pick up two gallons of water for the coffeemaker. I already had one coffeemaker ruined by the hard water and am not about to ruin another one.
Still, while driving down to the Flying J and back, I enjoyed seeing the snow-covered fields in our community. But I am also glad that the ice on the roads is gone for safer driving.
As I had mentioned in an earlier post, it is interesting that the Jeep is warm inside despite the cold air temperature. The BesTop vinyl top absorbs the sunlight and heats the interior. It is actually comfortable inside. I felt the inside of the top and it was warm to the touch.
As Mr. Spock would say, "Fascinating!"
