Morning snow

Above, the outdoor lights revealed we received now during the night. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Just as the National Weather Service forecast, we got a little dusting of snow overnight in Jamestown, New Mexico.

When I got up, I flipped on the outdoor light and saw that we have some snow.

We are currently getting some light snow showers. So far, about a quarter inch to half inch of the white stuff is on the ground. Most likely, it will probably be melted away by noon.

Perhaps it's just as well, since the Governor has closed down restaurant dining in the state over the coronavirus, so our morning coffee/breakfast group won't be able to go to Denny's at the Flying J until at least April 10.

Today's forecast:

Overnight
Snow showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Southwest wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Thursday
Snow showers likely, mainly before 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Thursday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. Southwest wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
