It is incredible that a virus that's akin to a head cold or the flu is causing so many problems and closures. Now it is forcing the closure of dining and lodging at Yosemite National Park.
A friend saw this at a Yosemite National Park page he follows:
As a result of guidance provided by the National Park Service and public health officials, all lodging and dining facilities in Yosemite National Park are temporarily closing as of tomorrow March 17, 2020. The temporary closure is prompted as a precaution due to coronavirus concerns. The closure is anticipated to last through March 31, 2020.
Therefore, we need to cancel your reservation for 3/24/2020. You will receive a refund for your deposit within seven business days.
The health and safety of Yosemite National Park visitors and park employees is the park's top priority. We are working closely with public health officials and the park will continue to review operations and reopen facilities when appropriate.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we hope you are able to visit us at a later date this spring or summer. If you need to speak to a reservations specialist, please call 888.413.8869.
Regards,
Yosemite Hospitality
