Hot Week Coming

Above, smoke and gnats have been keeping me indoors for the most part. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Here we are in monsoon season but there's been no monsoon storms and it has been dry as a bone in Northwestern New Mexico (i.e., the Four Corners region).

It will be more of the same this coming week with no precipitation forecast. Since it has been smoky outside (from the Arizona fires), we have an Air Quality Alert. That, and we're also in gnat season, I've been staying indoors for the most part. We'll be in the 90s in the upcoming week.

Here's what the upcoming week is shaping up to be according to the National Weather Service:

Today
Sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west in the morning.
Tonight
