A few months ago, I was updating, deleting and adding some apps to my phone. One of the new apps I got was WeatherBug.
It is a nifty (if that word is ever used anymore) app with weather updates with easy-to-read graphics on current weather conditions in one's area.
The skies in and around Jamestown, New Mexico are pretty dark and my WeatherBug sent me an alert for lightning activity.
It provided information where the nearest lightning strikes hit, the time and miles. This would come in handy for people who are outdoors working or engaged in any other kind of outdoor activity.
