"The Wreck called Hillary Clinton" (Video)

As Hillary Clinton piped in on President Trump's White House ballroom construction, here's a great parody video called "The Wreck called Hillary Clinton", a take on Gordon Lightfoot's "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald".

White House Trolls Cracker Barrel Logo

Before the announcement that Cracker Barrel was dropping the misguided plan to change its logo, the White House trolled the restaurant company with an image of President Trump with a parody of their old logo.

And, no, the above image isn't the one the White House posted. I found this one at Facebook.

According to the Gateway Pundit:

The White House trolled Cracker Barrel by posting a parody of the company’s old logo with President Donald Trump replacing Uncle Herschel and captioning it “go woke, go broke.”

The image also features the words “America First” replacing the company name and “AMERICA IS BACK” at the bottom.

The restaurant chain, long beloved for its traditional American charm, faced a storm of criticism after unveiling a modernized logo that ditched iconic elements like Uncle Herschel, the barrel, and the “Old Country Store” tagline.

Conservative Momma Reenacts Cassidy Hutchinson’s Testimony

It is funny how some people can be immediately parodied to perfection within hours. When one's testimony is so full of crap, it is easy to do.

This is the case of Conservative Momma's reenactment of Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony before the sham January 6 committee.

Above, Cassidy Hutchinson.

From the Gateway Pundit:

On Tuesday, Liz Cheney and the sham Jan. 6 committee brought in Mark Meadows former junior staffer Cassidy Hutchinson as a “surprise witness.”

Democrats and their media lackeys billed this as an explosive development in their quest to get President Donald Trump.

Democrats, the FBI, the mainstream media, Big Tech, and Liz Cheney all believe Donald Trump and his supporters must be punished and ruined for trying to save this country from their failed policies and tyrannical ambitions.

Young Cassidy sat for testimony and proceeded to told at least nine major lies while under oath before the committee.

Some "McLintock!" Trivia

Some John Wayne/McLintock! trivia for you on a Sunday afternoon.

From IMDb:
John Wayne insisted that the role of the weak, insipid Governor be called "Cuthbert H. Humphrey", with the intention that he be seen as a parody of liberal Sen. Hubert H. Humphrey, whom Wayne intensely disliked.

Above, former Vice President and Senator Hubert H. Humphrey.

Scott McKenzie: "San Francisco" vs. "San Franshithole"?

Above, San Francisco in 2015. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Scott McKenzie was an American singer and songwriter. He was best known for his 1967 hit single and generational anthem, "San Francisco". - Wikipedia.

If Scott McKenzie were alive today (he passed away in 2012), what would he be singing about San Francisco these days with rampant homelessness, outrageous rents, syringes and feces in the streets and sidewalks?

Maybe...
If you're going to San Franshithole
Be sure to wear some feces in your hair
If you're going to San Franshithole
You're gonna meet some druggie people there*

"Gorilla Channel" Spoof Fools Trump-haters

The Looney Left Report

My "honorary sister" sent me a link to a news story on how some Trump-haters fell for a parody "book excerpt" about how President Trump wanted to watch "the gorilla channel". She titled her email, "How Stupid Are They?"

According to Fox News:
One of the most entertaining "excerpts" circulated from Michael Wolff's explosive tell-all was a passage describing President Trump supposedly watching a “gorilla channel” for hours on end.
The excerpt, of course, was a parody and wasn't actually from the “Fire and Fury” book. But it managed to fool plenty of Trump critics anyway, with an MSNBC contributor and others initially appearing to treat the passage as legit.

The “Fire and Fury” fake-out clearly exploited an environment where journalists were hastily tweeting excerpts as they devoured the salacious book filled with alleged anecdotes of aides trashing the president and Trump himself munching through cheeseburgers in his bedroom while glued to multiple TVs.
The wild tale involves White House staff appeasing Trump’s demands for a “gorilla channel” by compiling footage of the combative apes, only for them to have to edit it further as Trump complained that they weren't fighting enough.

To answer my "honorary sister's" question: There are no limits to their stupidity!

"The Wreck Called Hillary Clinton"

Almost since the advent of recorded music, parody songs have been a part of American culture. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. For a good parody song to work, it has to be humorous and easily identifiable with the original song. Weird Al Yankovic has made a career with parody songs. It helps that the singer sounds reasonably good as well.

I stumbled upon such a song last night. It is a parody of the Gordon Lightfoot classic, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". Its title: "The Wreck called Hillary Clinton". It pokes fun at the Clintons. It has been around for a year, but I only found it last night.

According to its description on YouTube:
A parody about the treachery of the Clintons throughout the years and their ultimate political demise at the hands of Donald Trump.   Sung to the tune of "The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald".
According to the video, it is by "Gordon Athletesfoot".

Here's the video:

For those of you who are not familiar with Gordon Lightfoot's version (or are a fan of it), here's a 1979 live version by Lightfoot:

Enjoy!
