Finally, I got done what I needed to get done at the GOCO Beast Barn this morning.
For newbies to this blog, GOCO means
Garage of Comparative Ovations, a play on the E Clampus Vitus
Hall of Comparative Ovations (or HOCO).

I got a load of gravel to line the floor of the Beast Barn, which will keep the ground from rutting in wet weather and to keep rodents out of it. After the floor was lined, the remaining gravel was used to make a pathway from Barking Spider Road to the Beast Barn.

Russell Schumaker, who is a neighbor on East Blue Cedar Loop, has a gravel business, which comes in handy for these kinds of projects. He also made the ramp of Barking Spider Road last year.

Last winter, when I used The Beast for the Lost Dutchman clampout in Arizona, it was right after a rain and the weight of The Beast left tire ruts from the Beast Barn. I had to fill them with rocks to keep rodents out. The ground content here is mainly clay.

The gravel was delivered and spread out starting around 8:00-8:30 this morning. It was completed about a half hour later. It looks good!

Since I am planning to go to Arizona for the night tomorrow, I am leaving The Beast out, so all I have to do is pack what little I'm bringing and just jump in and go.
