Warm Days

Above, Meeko the llama. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Today's temperature got to around 79-80° in Jamestown, New Mexico.

The locals and I are enjoying the warm weather after the long winter. It seemed that whenever it started to warm up, a snow shower would come in or it just got plain windy and cold.

We will be having more of this through the weekend according to the National Weather Service.

I took a little drive earlier today and it appears Meeko, the llama that lives around the corner and about 4 houses down from me, was also enjoying the weather.

Yesterday got little interesting. I was sitting on the deck when I heard some fast "klop-klop" noises. It turned out that three horses got out of their pen and were running loose on my street. Fortunately, they headed back home, which is three doors north of me. My first thought was that they would end up on the freeway since the barrier fences are not installed yet.

The forecast:

Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 5 to 15 mph.
Friday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 45. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Saturday

Saturday Night

Sunday
