Finally, after the last parts to the new Celestron telescope arrived in the mail yesterday, I assembled the telescope today.
It would have been an easy process if companies these days would make the instruction booklets better written and the photographs were clearer to see. Some of the photos, as in this case, don't even match what's sitting before me.
But, eventually, I got it done. All I have to do is some adjusting and mount the motor drive. The two adapter pieces for mounting my Canon camera were easy to figure out.
After putting together the telescope, I decided to take a little ride around the neighborhood on the mini bike, including giving Christmas the last remaining carrots.
I did ride down the utility road that's behind the property to see if the mower would be able to be driven down it. It appears that it would. I need to mow down the brush that have grown in the back yard. The only gate wide enough to accommodate the mower is the access gate at the utility road the propane company uses to get access to my propane tank.
Right now, we are under a red flag warning and it wouldn't be prudent to try mowing, in case of a spark to catch the brush on fire.
