While down at Tractor Supply Co. today to pick up the mower and mini bike, I was introduced to the owner of a horse in Jamestown that I've fed carrots on occasion. His name escapes me, but then I've always been terrible at remembering names.
The horse's name is Christmas.
My neighbor Nandoh told me that the man got his wife the horse for Christmas, so the mare was named Christmas. Unfortunately, shortly after getting the horse, the wife passed away.

When I told him that I've occasionally fed Christmas carrots, he said he thought I looked familiar. He also said a lot of others in the community do the same (including apples). She said Christmas is a bit spoiled. I told him that thought Christmas is a very sweet horse.
