Autumn Temperatures Starting

The weather in Jamestown, New Mexico is rapidly shifting into autumn.

This morning, it is about 43° outside. I had to fire up a space heater for the first time since last spring. We'll be getting snowstorms before we know it. Officially, autumn doesn't begin until September 23.

But, we'll be getting some monsoon weather for a little while, at least. It rained here yesterday, which is a big help for the trees and plants outside. Speaking of which, since the nighttime temperatures are dropping, I'll have to bring the jade plant back indoors. The temperatures almost killed it last winter.

According to the National Weather Service:

Today
Sunny, with a high near 76. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 47. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable.
Friday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Friday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. West wind around 5 mph becoming southeast after midnight.
Saturday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. South wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.
Sunday
