Fingers Crossed

Well, if the forecast is correct, we should be getting some precipitation in Jamestown, New Mexico today and maybe tomorrow.

It had been a relatively dry August, which is unusual for monsoon season. Thunderstorms had been predicted before, but nothing came of it. We did manage a few drops yesterday evening, but that was brief.

It is funny that the day was hot and clear. Then the clouds moved in during the late afternoon.

We sure could use some rain.

But, according to the National Weather Service:

Labor Day
Scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. South wind around 5 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tonight
Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday
Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday Night
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. East wind 10 to 15 mph.
