Six More Days To Autumn

Above, the mesas yesterday. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Yesterday was in the comfortable 70s with some clouds, but no rain.

That all may change today as showers and thunderstorms may be rolling into the Jamestown, New Mexico area. The National Weather Service says we have a 20% chance.

Other than that, it seems we're heading steadily into an autumn weather pattern, even though we will still be in summer until Monday.

A sure sign we're nearing autumn is that some of my neighbors with pellet heaters are already stocking up on pellets. I just rely on the propane heater and a couple of ceramic space heaters.

The National Weather Service forecast:

Today
Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
