One of the must-see places in the world would have to include the city of Kyoto, Japan.
Once the country's capital, Kyoto is an interesting place to see ancient shrines and temples. I was last there four years ago (it was my second visit) and took a guided tour (it made things easier) to see some of the city's highlights.
