Warm Temperatures To Continue

Now that warmer temperatures have reached New Mexico, hopefully that will help in the battle against COVID-19. Supposedly, the virus can't survive in temperatures over 80°.

The National Weather Service posted this general summary on their home page:
Severe thunderstorms are possible from Oklahoma and eastern portions of Kansas into the Ozarks and western Tennessee and Kentucky. Large hail, damaging wind gusts and a couple of tornadoes will be possible. The Desert Southwest will see the return of high temperatures that may surpass 100 degrees by Tuesday and continue through the week with the potential for record temperatures.

As for Jamestown and Gallup, where a citywide lockdown is in place, the forecast for the next several days is:

Sunny, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
Tonight
Clear, with a low around 39. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable.
Tuesday
Sunny, with a high near 77. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night
Clear, with a low around 42. West wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.
Wednesday
Sunny, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the morning.
Wednesday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 44.
Thursday
Sunny, with a high near 80.
Thursday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
Friday
Sunny, with a high near 78.
Friday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 78.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 44.
