Right now, state and national park campgrounds are closed due to the coronavirus. However, national forests with camping areas are open and this is a great opportunity to boondock (or dry-camp) in one.
Do It Yourself RV has an article with a list of four items they consider essential (I am getting to dislike that word).

Boondocking, or camping off the grid, is more popular than ever now as RVers seek to avoid crowded RV parks and campgrounds. Boondocking requires you to take everything with you and provide your own critical amenities: food, water, connectivity, and power.
