...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
EARLY THURSDAY EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITIES...

.Strong northwest flow aloft Thursday will mix down to the surface
resulting in breezy to windy conditions along and south of I-40.
Relative humidities will be near and below 15 percent and
temperatures will be above normal. Instability may be lacking with
just low to moderate Haines values.

THURSDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch...which is in effect from Thursday afternoon
through Thursday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest and West Central Highlands, Middle
  Rio Grande Valley, the Sandia, Manzano and Gallinas Mountains
  and the East Central Plains Thursday afternoon through early
  Thursday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...West to Northwest at 15 to 30 mph with gusts of
  35 to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent below any snowpack.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
